We take your store data seriously. This policy explains what data we access, how we use it, and how we protect it.
1. What Data We Collect
To provide our AI Product Passport, AI Commerce Readiness, Supplier Document Enrichment, and AI Shopping Advisor services, we collect:
Merchant Account Data
We collect store name, shop domain, merchant contact information, installation status, app settings, and authentication data required to operate the app.
The app is currently offered as part of a free founding merchant program. We do not collect payment card details through the app. If paid plans are offered through the Shopify App Store, billing will be processed through Shopify Billing. If we offer non-Shopify services separately, those may be billed through an approved third-party provider.
Shopify Catalog Data
We access product titles, descriptions, handles, images, variants, prices, inventory, availability, product types, tags, vendors, collections, metafields, and related catalog data needed to generate AI Product Passports and AI-readable catalog resources.
Supplier Documents and Context Files
If you upload supplier specification documents, size charts, manuals, warranty documents, certificates, CSV/XLSX files, or other product context files, we process those files to extract structured product metadata and improve Product Passports.
Supplier documents remain private unless you approve extracted fields for use in published Product Passports or public AI-readable endpoints.
AI Context Library Data
We store business context, supplier context, policy context, custom pages, and merchant-approved context that you provide or approve inside the app.
AI Shopping Advisor Data
If enabled by a merchant, the AI Shopping Advisor may process shopper messages and shopping preferences such as product category, budget, size, style, intended use, occasion, timing, and compared products. This data is used to provide product recommendations within that merchant's store.
We do not use this data to recommend products from other stores, and we do not sell shopper conversation data.
We Do Not Collect Customer Data by Default
GetAIShoppers does not require access to customer records, order history, or payment information to provide its core Product Passport functionality.
2. How We Use Your Data
We use your catalog and context data solely to:
- •Generate AI Product Passports and identify missing product context
- •Create AI-readable product metadata, source labels, and machine-readable catalog endpoints
- •Power the optional AI Shopping Advisor
3. Published AI Product Passports
When you approve and publish an AI Product Passport, selected product information may become publicly accessible through app proxy pages, JSON passport endpoints, catalog manifests, and AI-readable resources such as llms.txt.
Draft passports, raw supplier documents, unapproved extracted fields, and internal context remain private unless you publish or approve them.

5. Data Security & Retention
We use industry-standard security practices, including HTTPS/TLS encryption, to protect data in transit.
We retain your data only as long as necessary to provide our services. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time, and we will permanently remove it within a reasonable timeframe.
